Barbara Anderson was very helpful to my family in looking after an elderly aunt who lived other side of the country.  When my aunt became older and was in assisted living, we needed someone local who could not only help manage her legal affairs, revising wills and trusts, but also supervise medical visits and find tax experts in some unusual fields.

Ms. Anderson did all of the above, and became the single person I could rely on to solve all my aunt’s problems.  Indeed, she became a good friend to my aunt, and gave me great peace of mind.  When my aunt passed away, Ms. Anderson expertly handled the estate, and found people to sort, pack and ship my aunt’s possessions.

Ms. Anderson was always a cell phone call away, and very responsive.  I recommend her highly.

Dear Barbara,

As we find ourselves coming to the conclusion of a year-long series of life adventures, we want to take a moment to thank you for the superb guidance and counsel that you have provided as we worked through moving our parents into assisted living.  You may remember that when we first met we were quite lost and very much in need of the expertise that you have in planning for life transitions.  As we have remarked, life does not come with an instruction manual!

You  not only supported all of us in determining and executing the necessary legal actions/documents that allowed us to assist our parents, but you also provided unique insights into some of the challenges we faced.  You also connected us with wonderful professional colleagues who were able to support us in other aspects of this transition from emptying the house with 60 years of accumulated belongings, to a major renovation that greatly enhanced the value of our parents' property, to finding a care manager who serves as our eyes and ears while we live so far away.  Each of these individuals were fully professional in their expertise and work with us and, as importantly, they were extremely trustworthy -- as have you been in all our interactions.

We appreciate your personal interest and attention Barbara.  And we look forward to continuing to work with you in the future.

Best wishes for success and fulfillment in your professional work.

We have been very pleased working with Barbara for the past ten years as we have tried to care for our aunt. As out-of-state caregivers more than a thousand miles away, it has given us great confidence to have someone of her expertise as our local representative. In addition, her ability to form a lasting and caring relationship with our aunt has been incredibly important for her mental and emotional well-being. Barbara has continued to provide prompt and detailed updates, both written and oral, so that we can understand exactly what’s happening with all aspects of our aunt’s care.

No matter the situation: whether it was the initial crisis of getting our aunt discharged from the hospital and settled into a new living situation to establishing long-term care needs with aides and hospice workers, Barbara has always been able to find a solution through the labyrinth of bureaucracies and organizations that can frustrate many others attempting to provide geriatric care. She has developed an extensive network of contacts from estate sale agents to tax accountants to nursing agencies that she can call upon when her own skills need supplementing.

Having Barbara as our partner this past decade has made a tremendous difference, both to us and to our aunt and we look forward to several more years of working together.
